Bochum/Berlin, January 6, 2025 - On January 1, 2025, Dr. Ralf Kleindiek handed over his position as one of two managing directors of the Center for Digital Sovereignty in Public Administration (ZenDiS) to Alexander Pockrandt. This completes the transition from interim to permanent management of ZenDiS as planned. As Managing Director and CFO, Alexander Pockrandt is responsible for the areas of finance, procurement, compliance, organization, legal, human resources and IT. He draws on over 20 years of experience in IT companies and public administration. Jutta Horstmann, Chairwoman of the Management Board at ZenDiS: "I am very much looking forward to shaping the future of ZenDiS and digital sovereignty in Germany together with Alexander. Our aim is to continue the successful development of the first year and to scale ZenDiS ambitiously. At the same time, I would like to thank Ralf for all his work. He has not only built up ZenDiS together with Andreas Reckert-Lodde in an impressive manner, but has also enabled me personally to make a smooth start as Managing Director."

Dr. Ralf Kleindiek remains active in an advisory capacity

Dr. Ralf Kleindiek joined ZenDiS as the second interim Managing Director at the end of 2023. The former State Secretary and doctor of law helped to build up the rapidly growing organization. Thanks to his excellent network in politics and administration, he was also instrumental in promoting the participation of the federal states in the GmbH. Federal CIO Dr. Markus Richter: "With Dr. Ralf Kleindiek, we were able to find exactly the right Co-Managing Director for ZenDiS at exactly the right time. Not only did he bring with him immensely valuable political experience and a large network, but he has also been intensively involved with issues of administrative digitization for years. He is also characterized by a calmness and composure that is indispensable, especially in turbulent times." Dr. Ralf Kleindiek will remain associated with ZenDiS even after his departure as Managing Director. He will continue to support the new management in an advisory capacity for a few more months.
