Co-creating Digital Sovereignty

DMK wants the federal states to be able to participate in ZenDiS and promote digital sovereignty

The Third Digital Ministers' Conference of the German Federal States (DMK) would like to see the federal states participate quickly in ZenDiS and is in favor of strengthening digital sovereignty.

Bochum/Inselheim am Rhein, 20 May 2025: The third Digital Ministers Conference of the German Federal States (DMK) took place on 12 and 13 May 2025 in Inselheim am Rhein, chaired by Rhineland-Palatinate. Dr Karsten Wildberger, Federal Minister for Digital and State Modernisation, was a guest at the conference.

The resolutions of the Digital Ministers' Conference contain a clear commitment by the federal states to sovereign solutions and a demand to the federal government: ‘The DMK asks the federal government to fully expand and strengthen the Centre for Digital Sovereignty (ZenDiS) and, in the spirit of federal cooperation, to create opportunities for the federal states to participate as soon as possible.’
