ZenDiS at the 1st European Summit on Digital Sovereignty
The first European Summit on Digital Sovereignty will take place in Berlin on November 18, 2025. The focus: concrete measures in which EU member states join forces to strengthen Europe's digital sovereignty. Among them: ZenDiS & DINUM with openDesk & La Suite.
"Digital sovereignty is a central pillar of Europe's economic strength and strategic independence. The Digital Sovereignty 2025 Summit, which Germany and France are jointly initiating, is an invitation to all EU member states to join us in taking concrete steps to strengthen digital sovereignty in Europe." With these words, Federal Digital Minister Dr. Karsten Wildberger announced the first European summit on digital sovereignty at the Franco-German Council of Ministers in Toulon last week.
Our transnational project with the French Direction interministérielle du numérique (DINUM), with whom we have been working together since 2024 on openDesk & La Suite Numérique - our sovereign Office & Collaboration Suites for the administration.
We are delighted to be actively involved in shaping the summit. It is one of the measures of the Franco-German Economic Agenda adopted by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron. ZenDiS and DINUM are also explicitly named as building blocks for a more digitally sovereign Europe with openDesk & La Suite.
